A 32-bit cyclic redundancy code is a type of algebraic polynomial in x with coefficients from a set A of binary numbers. It is used to detect accidental alterations of data during coding and decoding. Castagnolis results on the algorithmic selection of CRC provide codes which can detect up to 5 errors. In this study we use polynomial algebra over the field and the geometry of the code space to model a class of 32-bit CRC polynomials which can detect up to 7 errors.

32-Bit Cyclic Redundancy Codes for Internet Applications binary data word as a polynomial over GF(2) (i.e., with each polynomial coefficient being zero or one) and per-forming polynomial division by a generator polynomial G(x). The generator polynomial will be called a CRC poly-nomial for short. (CRC polynomials are also known as feedback polynomials, in reference to the feedback taps of

28.05.2016 · CRC or Cyclic Redundancy Check is a method of detecting accidental changes/errors in communication channel. CRC uses Generator Polynomial which is available on both sender and receiver side.An example generator polynomial is of the form like x 3 + x + 1. This generator polynomial represents key 1011.
